Lesson 1 - Scuff
In this lesson, you will learn the scuff. You will definitely need a sturdy pair of shoes for this lesson. If you don’t have clogging shoes, just throw on a pair of sneakers.

Lesson 2: Slap
The slap is a move opposite of the scuff. This move has you striking the ball of your foot to the floor in a backward motion.

Lesson 3: Scuff & Slap Combo
This combination has you putting the scuff and the slap together. It’s a bouncy, high energy movement.

COURTNEY
Courtney, founder of YouDance.com, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the world of dance. With 14 years of teaching under her belt, she specializes in clogging, a dance form close to her heart. Her journey in dance began in her teenage years, which led to competing in clogging and dancing in college. Notably, she served as the director of a dance team who toured Europe, showcasing their clogging skills for three consecutive summers. She is a mom of 3 girls and loves spending her days bringing the joy of dance to the homeschool community.

We created these courses with homeschoolers between the ages of 7-18 in mind.

We have lessons that will take students progressively through all of the clogging classes week-by-week. Currently, we have 16 weeks of clogging content, with 215 total weeks of dance content across all genres. Each week contains 2-8 classes in video form and 1 quiz. Due to popular demand - a new clogging course is in the works and will be released Summer 2024.

No, you do not need clogging shoes to begin clogging. Tennis shoes will work just fine for the beginner clogging courses.
